More than 600 people are diagnosed and start treatment each day; over 50 of these are children. Due to fear and lack of knowledge, there are over 3 million people across the world living with undiagnosed leprosy and every day the disease causes more damage to their health, livelihood and future. Through raising awareness, prevention, treatment and follow-up, we support people so that they can have normal lives. We are also actively involved in the strengthening of health systems and assist local governments in their leprosy management programmes.
