Health Canada is the federal department responsible for helping the people of Canada maintain and improve their health. Provides national leadership to develop health policy, promote disease prevention and enhance healthy living for all Canadians; developing programs and research to reduce and evaluate cancer risk, including workplace hazards, family history, alcohol and tobacco use, reproductive factors, sexual activity, sunlight, drugs and ionizing radiation from the environment and behaviours.
