Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program - Ford IFP

The Ford Foundation has create an International Fellowships Program (IFP) which will award 350 new graduate fellowships annually, assisting fellows over the next decade, representing the largest single grant in the Ford Foundation's history. These supporting programs are seeking to broaden opportunities for undergraduate education in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and Russia.

Objective: The Foundation has also created a complementary undergraduate initiative to help prepare a new generation of future leaders for the challenges of the 21st century. In 2001, the program will begin by admitting citizens of Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Vietnam, Chile, Peru, and Russia, but it will expand to include many more countries in 2002.
