Objective: Resource Discovery Network's Virtual Training Suite is part of a national initiative to teach Internet information skills to "the higher and further education communities" in the UK. The site offers delightfully clean, pared-down yet comprehensive tutorials for students and teachers in various disciplines, e.g., medic, psychologist, social worker, business manager, economist. Users browse through selected websites in their field, learn Internet search techniques and criteria for assessing specialist websites, and get tips for using the Internet for work and study. The tutorials, authored by academics and librarians, are thoughtfully prepared and highly approachable.
