...An equity driven approach in health policy making entails a wide vision of the determinants of population health. First it requires considering the broader policy action required to promote health equity. Second, the concern for equity also leads to broader policy goals to be pursued through health policy itself. Lastly, the pursuit of equity is necessarily linked to the issue of governance and decision making procures and the extent to which they allow for broad representation and the effective exercise of choice by all social groups and members of society.
